Five agency staff members, including three from its publications department, worked with one group to describe the process of creating a youth magazine, with plenty of practical work thrown in. Staff writer Steve Beebee said: "The idea was to take young people through the process of creating a two-page magazine spread, from deciding on the content, interviewing and writing the material, taking the photographs, and actually designing and laying it out on the page. Given the time, we had doubts that we would be able to generate enough material, but the young people exceeded our expectations and we ended up with virtually enough copy for six pages." The fruits of the group's labours are likely to be seen in print in the next edition of Volunteer Action.
