The National Youth Agency has released a new publication, Comprehensive Performance Assessment and Best Value for Youth Services. Written by Mary Marken, it looks at how local authorities seek and secure continuous quality improvement and explores and catalogues their experiences of Best Value.
Starting with an analysis of documents held by The NYA, it then examines information from a questionnaire and detailed interviews with local youth services, highlighting beneficial outcomes for young people and services and success factors and challenges along the way.
As such it will be of invaluable assistance to local authority staff with a role to play in the development of quality management and quality assurance systems.
Comprehensive Performance Assessment and Best Value for Youth Services costs 3.50 and is available from NYA Publication Sales. To find out more, email sales@nya.org.uk, or call on 0116 285 3709.
