The National Youth Agency: Eating disorders awareness week

1 min read

The theme of the week this year will be Getting Better? This will coincide with the publication of a new report from the Eating Disorders Association (EDA) that looks at a number of aspects of eating disorders and the provision of specialist treatment, along with a press launch at the House of Commons on 7 February and conferences and seminars in Hull, Worcester and Dereham, Norfolk throughout the week. The report will pose the question, What needs to get better? and will concentrate on three main areas: getting understood, getting help and getting treatment.

According to the EDA, eating disorders are really a way of not having to face up to painful problems in life and difficulties you can't solve.
