Partners can draw upon the Hear by Right participation standards framework from the NYA and the Local Government Association to build a participation strategy, and the Investing in Children Membership Scheme for external validation of the evidence from children and young people that dialogue and change have taken place on the ground.
"Current experience indicates that a substantial partnership programme to build in the effective participation of children and young people across service departments or partnership arrangements requires a three-year commitment," said Richard McKie, national programme manager at The NYA.
