The Children's Hospice Association South East (Chase), which provides a network of care to families with terminally ill children, has been training staff to better support siblings. The training was funded by the True Colours Trust through a Children's Hospices programme.
An independent evaluation by Sunfield Research Institute found the training helped staff feel better prepared.
A spokesman for Chase said: "Creating an environment where these siblings feel valued and supported increases their self-esteem."
