Study to examine youth work policy

Youth Work
Two leading youth work thinkers are planning a follow up to their influential report Squaring the Circle.

Last year Professors Bernard Davies and Bryan Merton and a team from De Montfort University conducted a small inquiry into how youth work practice has been influenced by recent government youth policies.

Davies and Merton plan to follow this up with a second inquiry where they will visit about 15 organisations in England over the summer with a view to produciTng a report in the autumn.

"The impact of the first report has been quite disproportionate to the scale of the investigation," said Merton. "It has excited considerable interest."

Organisations interested in taking part should email: bryan.merton@ntlworld.com.
