79% of looked-after children had at least one GCSE at grade A * to G at 30 September 2006 (63 per cent in England)

83% of looked-after children had an annual dental check at 30 September 2006 (85 per cent in England)

93% of looked-after children had an annual health assessment check at 30 September 2006 (83 per cent in England)

Last year Ofsted said: "As a result of a relentless focus on child protection, there has been an increase in the number of initial and core assessments completed within timescales."
