85% of looked-after children had at least one GCSE at grade A* to G at 30 September 2006 (63 per cent in England)

86% of looked-after children had their teeth checked by a dentist at 30 September 2006 (85 per cent in England)

95% of looked-after children had an annual health check at 30 September 2006 (83 per cent in England)

In 2006 the Commission for Social Care Inspection and Ofsted said: "The authority promotes and secures the safety of children and young people."
