85% of looked-after children had their teeth checked by a dentist at 30September 2006 (85 per cent in England)

91% of looked-after children had an annual health assessment at 30September 2006 (83 per cent in England)

In June 2006 the Commission for Social Care Inspection and Ofsted said:"There have been investments in preventative services and the size ofthe looked-after population has stabilised."
