- 82% of looked-after children had at least one GCSE at grade A* to G at 30 September 2006 (63 per cent in England)
- 81% of looked-after children had an annual dental check at 30 September 2006 (85 per cent in England)
- 92% of looked-after children had an annual health assessment check at 30 September 2006 (83 per cent in England)
In November Ofsted said: "The contribution of the council to improving outcomes for children and young people in this area is outstanding."
