The truth about self-harm ... is based on the evidence young self-harmers or those who had previously self-harmed gave in the recent inquiry conducted by the Camelot Foundation and the Mental Health Foundation.
The 29-page booklet is designed to give a better understanding of self-harm among young people and guidance on how to deal with it and get help.
About 12,000 copies will be sent to professionals including school nurses, head teachers, heads of youth services and organisations involved in the consultation.
