Scotland: Text voting system set to be extended

The SMS system, which was set up for youth information agency Young Scot by web development firm Storm ID, allows 12- to 26-year-olds to vote on issues and respond to consultations.

It has been piloted in North Ayrshire and will be extended to 16 local authorities within the next two weeks.

The system is part of a range of interactive consultation methods forming part of Young Scot's consultation framework Loud + Clear.
