Jenny Morris's report, based on interviews with 45 disabled parents and organisations representing them, provides a fascinating and timely insight into bad and good practice.
Disabled parents can face many barriers when they choose a school that is inaccessible to disabled people. For example, visiting the school itself if it does not have disabled access, and getting information in accessible formats, although one blind parent featured had a more positive experience when children were asked to read their work to her.
