It tastes great on chips but give children too much salt and you can risk storing up health problems for them in later years.

Many people restrict the amount of crisps, snacks and ready meals their children eat because these types of food can be high in salt. However, a recent study by Consensus Action on Salt and Health (Cash) found that soup sold at popular high-street chains can contain more salt than adults should eat in an entire day.
