The group will look at services, including health and education, forchildren from pre-school onwards, focusing on standards, the curriculum,further education and special needs.
The group will be chaired by former health secretary Stephen Dorrell andBaroness Perry, a former chief inspector of schools.
A spokeswoman for the party said that children's charities andstakeholders were invited to join the group. The final membership willbe announced in late February.
However, the only organisation that had confirmed its involvement so faris the Commission for Special Educational Needs.
This was set up last year by party leader David Cameron, then shadoweducation secretary, to review service provision.
