Project to ease adult transition

Health Youth Work
UK Youth has launched a 200,000 youth-led project to improve services for young people experiencing difficulties in their transition to adulthood.

The Department of Health is funding the three-year project to identifyneeds of young people, evaluate existing services, distributeinformation and promote communication tools in a range of services.

The delivery of the Healthy Transitions programme will be led by 16- to25-year-olds who are experiencing difficulties in transitions. It willsupport young people and third sector youth organisations to influencelocal health and social care services.
