Pre-school children quizzed on centres

Early Years
Young children in Peterborough have been asked for their views on children's centres within the city.

Pre-school children were quizzed last Tuesday in a consultation session that used pictures and puppets to help them express what they liked about children's centres and what they would like to see in the future.

Elaine Fulton, assistant director of children's services at the council, said: "It is important that children and young people's voices are heard and taken into account when shaping services in the city. The aim of the session was to find out what pre-school children think in a fun and interactive way."

The council is consulting with all children under 14 about services that target them.
