The programme is aimed at young people considered at risk of becoming involved in crime and antisocial behaviour. In Birmingham, the programme has had a huge effect on thousands of young people between the ages of eight and 19. On the whole, the impact has been a positive one for those who have taken part.
Young people are given the opportunity to improve their self-confidence and self-esteem through a wide range of sport, arts and music. The programme also allows young people to identify activities that they may wish to take up in the future, helping to give them a focus in their lives.
