I remember libraries. Do people still use them then? Certainly do.

There were 290 million visits to public libraries in 2000-01. Almost 30 per cent of the population use libraries for borrowing books, many more do so for general enquiries.

Well good luck to them. I think I'm happier in Waterstone's, it's got a coffee bar now you know. Libraries know all about people like you. Usage has dropped 17 per cent in the past decade and that's why they are reinventing themselves. After years of gradual, small-scale changes, it seems we're in an era of radical step-change in the design and function of the humble library.
