Our young people should be able to ‘Re-mixit' in Europe

Soon this pantomime of half-truths, distortions and downright lies will be over.

The Brexit side in the European referendum debate has attempted to appeal to the ignorance of the masses, through packs of lies, peddled by very intelligent people, on immigration. It has also been argued that a vote to leave the EU is tantamount to placing trust in ordinary people rather than the undemocratic and invisible elites who apparently control our lives - by all too visible but patently elite figures of the Leave campaign.

The Remain campaign has been equally guilty of spreading speculation. Few concessions have been made to the arguments of the other side. That is not the way of politics. Only the brave have argued to remain while also asserting the need for a radical rethink and reconstruction of the EU. The European Commission is a bureaucratic monolith that is crying out for reform.
