OPINION: The Ferret ... digs behind the headlines

1 min read

Around 4,000 hard copies of the questionnaire were mailed out last year.

And all visitors to the web site were encouraged to fill it in.

Total number of completed questionnaires returned - cue drum roll - was ... 68.

Not bad ... that's 1.7 per cent of readers.

If you include those who visited the web site, make due allowances for the contributors who filled questionnaires in, knock off a few who were the friends and relatives of staff ... you get a pretty pathetically low response figure.

So why the congratulations? A previous editor of Young People Now often voiced her view that the only people who fill in magazine questionnaires are creeps and sycophants. So well done Coyote for having so few creeps and sycophants among your readers.
