The RAC's 2009 report on motoring shows that young people are less likely to drive while over the drinking limit, with only 24 per cent of 17- to 24-year-olds admitting to doing so, as opposed to 32 per cent of 45- to 64-year-olds.
And 36 per cent of the 17 to 24 age group are confident that they understand the skills required to be a greener driver, compared with a quarter of other motorists.
