The third issue of Westminster's The Cut magazine poses the question, what does it mean to be young and British in today's society?

It carried out a survey with 147 young people aged between 16 and 24 and found that 58 per cent consider themselves as British. The remainder either felt partly British or not British at all. But we're told that many second generation young Londoners are proud of their heritage.

Youth media organisation Headliners looks at the issue of underage drinking on its website. Eshe Nelson, 17, asks other young people why they feel the need to turn to alcohol and what would motivate them to stop. But Eshe argues the scale of the problem is blown out of proportion. "It's understandable that it is considered a serious problem, but it's also fair to say that it's a problem which is exaggerated by the media."
