Leaving home and going to university can be a daunting experience.

In the latest issue of Wolverhampton's Krash magazine Steph Bethall provides a diary of the life young people can expect. When she's not in lectures, Steph whiles away the hours meeting friends and practising her DJ-ing. She's also partial to the odd drink in the university bar. The experience has taught her life skills such as how to cook without giving herself food poisoning. All useful stuff.

Education is also a main theme of the latest issue of YoungScot. It includes some handy hints about how to pass your exams without worrying yourself to distraction. Top tips from young people includes the usual advice such as divide what you have to learn into chunks as well as more off-the-wall ideas like have "good curry".
