Nurseries to show their worth online

Early Years
A quality award scheme for day nurseries is to become an online scheme, thought to be the first of its kind.

The online revamp of the National Day Nurseries Association's Quality Counts scheme will allow nurseries to submit evidence of their work online as part of the quality award.

The e-Quality Counts scheme will be piloted in nurseries across Yorkshire and the Humber and will launch next spring.

Stella Ziolkowski, head of workforce development at National Day Nurseries Association, said: "We are really excited that we are moving to an online system, which will be as easy to use as possible for nurseries and means a huge reduction in paper."
