The most problematic part of the body for young men was their chests, which 69 per cent were unhappy with. But many were also unhappy with their face (62 per cent), teeth (68 per cent) and bottom (65 per cent). Four out of five said they would feel happier if they toned up and got into shape, but just 29 per cent believed they have a healthy diet, and only 52 per cent played any kind of sport. More than a quarter felt cosmetic surgery was a possible answer, including one in 10 who would "definitely" resort to surgery.
Sneak's editor, Michelle Garnett, said the findings show young men are now as obsessed with their bodies as young women.
