Plans for a big society are beginning to steam ahead. Prime Minister David Cameron has announced that five "big society communities" will be offered dedicated support from government officials to help them take over the running of services.
This was matched with the confirmation that money from dormant bank accounts will be channelled to help pay for such endeavours.
But in order for the ideal to be successful the government wants to hear from community groups and individuals who feel they are facing unreasonable barriers to making changes in their neighbourhoods.
