The upper age limit for sitting on Scotland's children's panels has been scrapped in a bid to retain experienced members. The rules previously prevented over-60s from applying to become members and existing members had to retire when they turned 65. The Scottish Executive has also launched a new campaign to recruit 470 volunteers for the panels, which deal with children who have offended or are at risk.
