News in brief: Scottish Executive works with Chinese schools

The Scottish Executive is to work on new education partnerships with China after a visit by First Minister Jack McConnell. Plans could include the twinning of Scottish and Chinese schools and sharing expertise on rural schools. An official from each government will also be appointed to develop links between their respective education services.
