NEWS IN BRIEF: Schools to be given funds for interactive whiteboards

Schools are to be given £25m to buy interactive whiteboards to help children learn. The touch-sensitive boards are connected to computers and use video, graphics, animation and sound to engage pupils. Education secretary Charles Clarke has also said that funding rules are to be changed to allow schools to invest their capital in technology.
