Nearly a third of obese British children from various ethnic backgrounds face a "dramatic" risk of heart disease, says a report by University College London Hospitals. The children have insulin resistance syndrome, a combination of cardiovascular factors that increases risk of heart disease. High blood pressure and abnormal blood fat levels characterise the condition.
