News in brief: Nottingham councillors due to vote

Nottingham councillors were due to vote yesterday (20 July) on proposals to create centres of excellence for pupils with special educational needs in the city. If the plans are approved, a specialist centre for pupils with moderate learning difficulties would be created, as would sites for pupils with severe learning and physical difficulties, those with autism and those with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
