In the week that the Commons health committee published its report on obesity, McDonald's was found to be handing out vouchers for free food in a hospital children's ward. The Norwich and Norfolk University Hospital NHS Trust said the visits were a distraction from the difficulties of hospital life, but that it had asked the fast-food chain to stop distributing meal vouchers to patients.
