Children's minister Margaret Hodge has opened a 3.3m childcare and learning centre in Southampton. Facilities at the Trust Taplins Learning Centre include a 100-place nursery. The centre was funded through the local regeneration programme, the NHS and the Government's Sure Start and Neighbourhood Nurseries programmes.
