Liberty, the human rights body, has warned that people could turn to vigilantism after a court lifted a ban protecting the identity of an 11-year-old boy convicted of raping a girl, aged nine. A judge at Liverpool Crown Court said the boy had shown no remorse. He sentenced him to 30 months' detention.
