The Fabian Society this week launched its Commission on Life Chances and Child Poverty. Chaired by Lord Adebowale, chief executive of the charity Turning Point, and core-funded by the Barrow Cadbury Trust, it will set out the manifesto commitments needed to halve child poverty by 2010.
