Child obesity is to be tackled by new programmes in England and Scotland. The Government is spending £2m on eight English pilot projects, each covering around 500 schools, that will include healthy tuck shops and breakfast clubs. The Scottish Executive is also to spend £24m on a campaign to reduce child obesity (see feature, p22).
