A promotional campaign to increase awareness of the child trust fund scheme was announced by Treasury minister Ivan Lewis last week. The campaign will focus on promoting stock market-linked stakeholder trusts. The Treasury says most of the trust fund accounts now opened are stakeholder ones although figures from the Building Societies Association suggest just 30 per cent are stakeholder accounts.
