Labour peer Baroness Kennedy is to recommend that every health authority in the country should have a paediatric pathologist trained in forensic medicine, according to reports. She has led a working party reviewing procedures in cot death cases. There is currently only one forensic paediatric pathologist in the UK, Professor Tony Risdon.
