The Parent2Parent Network will enable parents and guardians of deaf children to establish contact based on criteria such as geography and their child's age and level of hearing loss. It was set up by the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) and the NHS Newborn Hearing Screening Programme.
Adrian Davis, director of the NHS programme, said: "We have found many parents benefit a great deal from discussing issues, concerns, hopes and fears with other parents who share similar experiences or situations - the Parent2Parent Network makes this opportunity available to many more parents, especially those who may not be so comfortable attending a group"
