NCB and the Greater London Authority carried out four consultationevents with 67 children and young people on climate change and theLondon Plan - the mayor's spatial development strategy for thecapital.
Policies and strategies set out within the document will have a massiveeffect on a range of areas including housing, transport, economic growthand the collective roles we can all play in slowing down climatechange.
The consultations revealed that children and young people feelpassionately about climate change and have strong views and ideas abouthow the London Plan can be part of the solution. The young people feltrecycling should be easier and compulsory and that schools should leadthe way by becoming recycling champions. Schools should also providecycling proficiency lessons and secure bike sheds.
