The Children's Workforce Strategy, which is expected to be published this November, is to include work by an expert group from different parts of the children's workforce.

Decisions made will have a daily impact on the lives of children and young people so, consequently, they will also have the right to be involved in the development of the children's workforce.

Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) states that all children and young people have the right to say what they think should happen when adults are making decisions that affect them and to have those opinions taken into account. Typically in the children's workforce this has meant children and young people participating in the recruitment of staff or sitting on interview panels.
