NCB Now: Media coverage of children

Children and young people feature heavily in national media, often attracting disproportionate negative coverage.

One of NCB's priorities is to tackle negative perceptions of young people in the media, and promote the positive stories that involve them every day. Monitoring reporting of young people in the media is an excellent way to keep track of public perceptions of youth and follow debates on hot topics in the sector.

To help subscribers keep in touch with media coverage of the children's sector, NCB Library and Information Services' Children in the News digest is emailed daily to subscribers and covers the latest key stories and events relating to children and young people.
