- What do you think about the progress so far with the investment in new play spaces?

We are really pleased that we have been able to accelerate the programme and bring forward the spending. In time for the Easter break, 500 new play parks were open, and we are on track to have 3,500 open over the next couple of years. We were clear in the requirements to local authorities that they have to ask children, their parents and the community what they want and then deliver. There's no point building a shiny new park in a place where nobody wants to go.
