A report by the market research organisation TNS Worldpanel has revealed a rise in the number of parents trying to exercise more control over what their children eat. More parents now prepare their children's school lunches, with the number of lunch boxes rising eight per cent to a total of 1.2bn per year. The typical British household is also eating together in the dining room more often, instead of in front of the TV.
