National Youth Agency: Youth & Policy to continue online

1 min read
Youth & Policy, the journal devoted to the critical study of youth affairs, youth policy and youth work, is set to continue as a free web-based journal following the end of its publishing agreement with the National Youth Agency.

The editorial group has written to all subscribers and others associated with the journal outlining its plans for the future. "We have opted to relaunch ourselves as a free web-based journal," the letter says. "Some web journals are of a poor quality but we intend to invest a sizeable proportion of the reserves we have built-up during the past 25 years in employing professional programmers who will produce an attractive and accessible web journal. Thus, from early 2010 Youth & Policy will be available three times a year and contain, as before, a range of articles and reviews."

"We remain committed to providing a critical space to discuss policy and practice relating to young people in society and we hope you will continue to enjoy the journal in its new format," the letter continues.
