National Youth Agency: Comment - Panel on climate change is fantastic opportunity

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has recently set up a youth panel, created specifically to discuss important issues surrounding climate change and to discuss youth involvement in this issue.

The pilot youth panel was made up of a range young people from different backgrounds and representing a wide variety of youth organisations from across the country. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet so many other young people who are passionate about climate change and want to see our generation really make a difference.

Our first pilot panel included a meeting with the Secretary of State, Ed Miliband, who was interested to hear from young people. He was especially keen to hear our views on how his department can get young people engaged in reducing carbon emissions and creating a better environment for future generations.
