National Playday: A day full of fun for children in Bristol

More than 600 children and young people from Bristol play organisations took part in celebrations in the city to mark National Playday earlier this month.

The children enjoyed activities including Asian and African dance, circus skills classes, creative writing and poetry, sports and BMX riding. Local councillors and MPs were also given a special briefing on Bristol's draft play strategy, which will be circulated for public consultation in the autumn.
