Music: Government invests in music mentoring project

1 min read

Young people will make music and learn how to progress in the music industry as part of the Music Mentoring Programme, funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport as part of the cross-government Respect Action Plan.

The programme, launched last week, will run across 14 English regions and provide one-to-one and group mentoring sessions with peers, musicians and music industry representatives.

The scheme is run by charity Youth Music and will be rolled out through a network of Youth Music Action Zones - partnerships between Youth Music and organisations ranging from local authorities and youth support agencies to the music industry.
