Dave Fleming and his colleagues are flying the flag for multi-agencyworking in Blackburn with Darwen. "We're like champions for the newagenda," says the children and family services project manager. "We cametogether for this course and when we got back into our teams we usedourselves to speed up communication between departments."
Fleming is so confident about his abilities because, along with ninecolleagues, he's just completed the National College for SchoolLeadership's first multi-agency team development programme. According tothe college, this six-month programme aims to build "highly effectivemulti-agency teams that can offer the best support to children, youngpeople and families, and deliver the outcomes in Every ChildMatters".
